How long does it take to ship an order?

Most orders usually ship within 24-72 hours during normal business hours (Monday – Friday). Please allow an additional 48 hours for orders placed on weekends or holidays. Orders with expidited shipping options placed during normal business hours (Monday – Friday) excluding holidays usually ship within 24 hours. When counting the number of days we do not include the day the order was placed. 

Can I get a shipping quote for my order?

Yes. Shipping quotes are available thru our website directly from the UPS website. To obtain a shipping quote simply add items to your shopping cart then proceed to checkout. If you already have an account and are not logged in enter your username and password. You will see the actual shipping charges from UPS. If you do not already have an account you will need to register to see the shipping charges.

What carriers do you use for shipping?

We primarily ship via UPS on orders within the contiguous U.S., Alaska and Hawaii. Most International orders will also be shipped UPS. We also can ship larger orders Internationally via TNT however this option is not available thru our website and you will have to speak to a sales person to obtain a shipping quote.

What items have free shipping?

Items that qualify for free shipping can be identified by the free shipping logo Free Shipping Logo located on the results page as well as the products detail page.

Free Shipping Criteria.

Simply look for the Free Shipping logo to enjoy free UPS ground shipping on thousands of items throughout our store. If the item you order qualifies, you will not be charged for shipping on the item being offered as “Free Shipping” but you will be charged for other items that do not qualify for free shipping.

Free Shipping applies to the contiguous 48 U.S. states on the continent of North America that are south of Canada, plus the District of Columbia. This excludes the states of Alaska and Hawaii, and all off-shore U.S. territories and possessions, such as Puerto Rico.

Free Shipping applies to UPS Ground only any other shipping selection will NOT ship for free! If wish to have your items shipped via UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS 3 Day Select you will forfeit the free shipping option and we will ship your order accordingly. We reserve the right to change or discontinue Free Shipping at any time. Free Shipping applies to website orders only. Mail Order does not qualify for Free Shipping.

Handling Fee

What is a handling fee? Simply put its an order processing fee.

Handling Fee Charges based on shopping cart total:
$25.01 – $50.00 Handling Fee: $15.00
$50.01 – $75.00 Handling Fee: $10.00
$75.01 – $100.00 Handling Fee: $5.00
Orders over $100.00 do not have a Handling Fee.

What is the return policy?

If you have a return, contact us immediately or at your earliest convenience to state your reason for the return. You will be issued a Return Authorization Number by our customer service department.
Items must be returned within 30 days in like new condition with original packaging. * See exceptions below. To return an item, call us at 1-562-633-9731 ext. 105 to receive a Return Authorization Number and instructions.Your R.A.N. is only valid for 60 days from the issue date. Write this number on the outside of the package. Products returned without authorization will not be accepted. Freight must be prepaid! (any C.O.D. will be refused). Enclose a copy of your original invoice along with your securely packaged item. Return items must arrive at So. Cal. Imports in the same condition as they were when they were originally shipped. Credit replacement will not be given for items damaged through IMPROPER usage, installation, modification, tampering or disassembly. There is a 10% restocking charge on all MIS-ORDERED items. No restocking charge will be levied if we determine that So. Cal. Imports is at fault. The cost of the returned items, minus shipping charges, will be promptly credited via the payment method used.

Items that cannot be returned

Electrical Parts of any kind. Parts that have been installed. Special Order/Custom items cannot be returned. These items are made/ordered for your specific vehicle. Special Order/Custom items include, but are not limited to: Seat Upholstrey, Carpet, Door Panels, and Headliners. Please verify that the information provided for a custom item is correct before placing your order. Special Order/Custom items are generally not available on our website. We can only accept returns on custom items in the event of a manufacturer error.

What if a part isnt what I expected it to be?

So Cal Imports, will accept back merchandise that hasn’t met your expectations. You can request a Return Authorization Number and return the item\s at your own cost. Item\s that are being returned must be unused, in their original packaging and unmodified or unchanged in any form. Once we have received and inspected the item\s we will issue a refund for the original purchase price of the item\s only. The Shipping, Handling, boxing and Labor charges will not be refunded for the item\s purchased. THESE NON-DEFECTIVE RETURNS MAY BE SUBJECT TO A 10% RE-STOCKING FEE.

Can I exchange an item?

Yes. Please call us at 1-562-633-9731 ext. 105 and let us know that you will be returning an item and what item you would like instead. We will assign a Return Authorization Number, which must be written on the outside of the package. Upon our receipt of the returned item, we will ship out the new item. You will be credited or charged the price difference, less shipping, to the original form of payment.

What if items are damaged or missing from my order?

OPEN YOUR SHIPMENT AND INSPECT ALL PARTS IMMEDIATELY! Open all internal boxes, as some items may be packed with other parts. Make sure each part you ordered is includeed and undamaged. Take care not to throw away any parts with the packing materials. If you are missing any items and they are not “Back Ordered”, please contact So. Cal. Imports, Inc. immediately! If any part is damaged, Please contact So. Cal. Imports for us to gather all information needed to file a claim with the shipping carrier. Keep all original containers, shipping materials, and contents for inspection by the shipping carrier. So. Cal. Imports, Inc. is not responsible for shipping damage after the freight company accepts a shipment from us. We would like to know if damage from a freight company occurs, just in case we can help you.
Remember: Write down the date and the time as well as the name of the individual you speak with to help document your claim. It pays to be very firm with shipping companies when handling your claim.
The above procedures must be followed within 24 hours of receipt of goods.

What if I have installed/painted the parts I want to return?

So Cal Imports goes to great effort to make sure that all parts sent to their customers are correct. But due to the nature of the aftermarket VW parts business and the fact that over the years many of our customers cars have been changed, modified or altered, it is the end users sole responsibility to make sure that the parts that were received are correct for their application. This must be done BEFORE any assembly, paint/paint prep or any form of installation of the said parts are done. Once any assembly, paint/paint prep or any form of installation of the said parts are done, there is no returning or refunds on parts, even if it was So Cal Imports mistake on parts sent.

What do I about with my core?

Core returns must be returned within 30 days of the date your new part was received. FREIGHT MUST BE PREPAID! (Any C.O.D. will be refused). Upon receiving core returns, So. Cal. Imports will thoroughly inspect all components to determine their rebuildability. Credit cannot be given for non-rebuildable cores. Please package all cores securely and print “CORE RETURN” clearly on the outside of the box. You must drain all gear oil from transaxles before shipping to avoid spills and to reduce shipping weight. Always include the invoice number from your original parts order. NO CORE REFUNDS AFTER 30 DAYS.
